Worker Wednesday

New York Governor David Paterson is on the offensive again. He is again looking to blame unions and their workers for the State’s fiscal problems. He is now threatening to layoff 8,900 people because he feels that the unions should have given in to concessions.

I think the PEF president has the best response so far, you can read it at WNY Labor Today.

Personally I feel that the Governor is looking to blame the unions even though they have all contributed ideas to help in this fiscal crisis. He needs someone to blame and it is easy for the public, no matter how misguided, to believe that the unions are bad and at fault.
