Time You Enjoy Wasting Is Not Wasted Time

I filled up my gas tank in my car today. Gas is up to $1.85 now, still a nice break from $4/gallon. I had the opportunity to do some highway driving with my car this time so I now have an idea of what my mileage will be for highway trips. This tank I got 27.6 miles per gallon.

While I was never a huge fan of the synth-pop sound that was so poular in the 80′s, there were a few bands I enjoyed. Or at least I liked their hits, having never heard any other songs by them. One of those bands is the two-hit wonder, Men Without Hats.

The Safety Dance, their biggest hit, is such a fun song. I still like to hear this song.

Pop Goes the World, while not as big of a hit, is still an enjoyable song. However, I don’t think I’ve heard this on the radio ever. I did like the video for it, which I can’t embed but you can watch it here. Or just listen below:

I received the Indiana Jones box set this Christmas and yesterday we watched the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull for the first time. Overall I thought it was a fun movie that lived up to the Indiana Jones name and wrapped up the series with a neat little bow. Now, Lucas just needs to let the franchise be. It’s done and over, please don’t pillage it for merchandising like you did to Star Wars. Spoilers after the break…
