This is an accoustic cover of OutKast’s Hey Ya by Obadiah Parker. I decided to put this up because not only do I like the song (both the original and the cover), but I enjoy alternative cover versions of songs. I think my favorites are punk versions of pop songs, followed by bluegrass versions of rock songs. I’d love to hear early Madonna done in bluegrass. 
Of course traditional accoustic versions of songs whether they are by the original artist or not are usually pretty good as well. For some reason I remember a lot of the hair bands I listened to in the late 80′s early 90′s did this a lot. There would be the full electric version and the mellow accoustic version. I think Bon Jovi did this first with their accoustic version of Wanted Dead or Alive, which eventually led to MTV’s UnPlugged which was a show I enjoyed back in the day.
