Pumpkin Carving
Last night we carved pumpkins. Well, except for Erin, it got late and she had to go to bed after Gillian carved hers.
Gillian, with help from Karen, carved this pumpkin:
Isabella carved most of her pumpkin by herself with a little help from me (she wanted me to do the whiskers, which was pretty tricky):
I also started a Halloween set of pictures on my Flickr.
We had a lot of fun carving!
Later that night I seperated and roasted two big batches of seeds for snacking.

Clogging the Tubes
Wow, I just found out that not only can I watch movies online through Netflix, and TV shows through Hulu, but now MTV has made many videos available online as well.
Thank you interwebs for providing so much content that I can now waste time on so many different levels!
I wonder what convicted felon Sen. Stevens would say about all of the streaming media that is clogging up the tubes?

Tuesday Tunes
Stevie Ray Vaughn – Pride and Joy
I had a hard time picking a song for this first installment of what I hope to be a weekly item. Last night when I had the idea for Tuesday Tunes I was listening to a lot of Brian Setzer, so I thought I’d use one of his songs. But I had a hard time picking one. Then I considered the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, but again couldn’t decide. I went through from Tom Petty to Guns N’ Roses, but nothing seemed right. As I often do when I am playing guitar, I defaulted to the Blues. This is my favorite SVR song, and since my guitar playing is heavily influenced by the Blues I thought this would be a good song to start with.
