Today is the first day of my favorite season. :D I love the crisp days and chilly nights, the changing leaves, the smells of the season. The biggest problem with this area of WNY is Fall seems to be the shortest season here. We usually wind up with days that are too warm to be considered Fall and then the next thing you know it snows. But I’ll enjoy it while it lasts. :D

More on the Equinox.

For the last few days we were in Saratoga Springs, NY for the residency portion of my graduate program. So while I was in class, Karen and the girls had a mini-vacation seeing the sights and all. :) The drive down seemed to take forever, which did not put anyone in a good mood or set us up for a good night’s sleep. But after that we all had a good time. My classes went well, it was definitely well worth the trip. Online classes aren’t bad, but it was nice to at least be able to put a face and a voice to the names of my professors and fellow students. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the semester and then seeing everyone again next time. :)

Gillian turned four yesterday! Since we were going to be driving for most of the day we celebrated her birthday on Friday night. We went out to dinner, drove down to see the springs so I could see some of the sights, and then went back to the hotel for cake and presents. I can’t believe that Gilli is four already! On her birthday we stopped at a farmer’s market after I was done with my classes and before we went home. The drive home still was long, but everyone handled it better than the drive down.
