We just got back this week from 10 days in Kentucky. We had gone down because Karen has family down there, and her cousin Kim was getting married and the girls were asked to be flower girls in the wedding.

We stayed with Karen’s grandparents and the girls got to spend a lot of time with many generations of family, which you can read about in Karen’s blog.
It was a very long trip but amazingly the girls didn’t really complain about being in the car until we were about 100 miles from home. Although at that point we were all tired of traveling and wanted to stop driving, so I’m not surprised the girls were getting antsy. While we were in Kentucky I didn’t see any blue grass or blue moons, so that must be in a different part of the state. We did get to see some bison up close. The Land Between The Lakes has a bison and elk range that you can drive through. At one point the bison were coming out of the woods so we stopped and watched them. Then they crossed the road right around the car. That was pretty interesting.

You can see all of the pictures I uploaded from Kentucky on my Flickr page.
