Things to do on your 3 day weekend.
1. Grow a beard. OK, so I suppose I should say start growing a beard, but not shaving for 3 days has left me the option tomorrow morning of shaving like I normally do or letting my beard grow. I guess we’ll see tomorrow.
2. Ponder all the great things we as American workers have thanks to our union brothers and sisters who came before us. Hats off to you! Thank you for the weekend. Thank you for workers rights. Thank you for the right to a decent wage, decent health insurance and a decent retirement. I find it sad that there are so few union jobs anymore. The current anti-labor trend is terrifying. I hate reading the anti-union editorials in the newspaper. These people work in crappy corporate non-union jobs doing their wage-slave thing. They get no real benefits and a crappy defined contribution retirement plan. Then they get mad because someone with a union job has real benefits and a good defined benefit retitrement plan. What they should be mad at is their company for not offering them a better package. Don’t bring everyone down to your level, make a union job the standard.
3. Remember that it is the American workers who are the heart and soul of this counrty. Not management. Not corporations. Not CEOs. Not rockstars or moviestars. Just the average person like you and me.
