so, the girls are at my in-laws so Karen and I went out and did things we don’t normally get to do. We played mini-golf in 90 degree shining sunlight. Very fun, but very hot. We went for a drive and chatted. We went to the casino on the reservation and played the video slots. That was pretty fun. Very smokey though. It’s funny how you get used to every place being smoke-free. I felt all slimy and smoke-covered when we left, and we weren’t even there for long. We just wanted to see what it was all about since neither of us had ever been there. Only spent a few dollars each and then left.
Last week we rented The Weatherman with Nicolas Cage. That was a pretty good movie. I’ve grown to really like movies with Nicolas Cage. For the longest time I pretty much avoided any movie with him. But lately I’ve liked every movie I’ve seen with him in it. Not great movies or anything, but good. Don’t know why I was avoiding them. It’s good to sometimes revist and rethink past opinions, because maybe they’ve changed.
